Build an Opera, Children’s Workshop
Five day children’s workshop (ages 8 – 14) with Songbuilders in our 15th century tithe barn. Construct, build, design & compose a piece to perform at the end of the workshop with professionally trained opera singer & composer. Fantastic opportunity for children to really hone their creative side in the summer holidays.
Children will get stuck into a world of creativity with tips on singing technique, costumes and sets to design, songs to write, sounds to discover and a story to make. Aided by professional opera singer Mark Bradbury, an actor musican/ director, a scenic artist and professional composer Christopher Hussey, participants devise, compose, design, paint, and perform a brand new piece of musical theatre in just one week.
There will be a short performance for families to enjoy on the Saturday at 6:00pm followed by a Glyndebourne style picnic at the farm.
No need for the children to have any past musical experience.
