I think it can be said nationally that January has not been the best month but we are hopeful for a strong and positive rest of the year.

The beautiful wicker hampers are filled to the brim with homemade and delicious food, chosen by you from our bountiful menu which has options for everyone including those who are gluten free or vegan. The hampers will be delivered locally for free but we are also able to deliver further afield for a slight fee.

It is incredibly important to us at the cafe at The Old Workshop to support local business so we have chosen the wine, cheese and chutney from local businesses we know and love.

The ‘Nutty’ Vintage Brut or Nutbourne Blush Rose from Nutbourne vineyards are both fragrant, light and well balanced to have with friends and family.

There is a large choice of Sussex made artisan cheeses, provided by The Cheese Man, which we have personally tried and couldn’t resist! The choice of cheeses are Sister Sarah (mild and soft goat’s cheese), Sussex Camembert (soft and nutty tones – traditional Camembert), Truffled Brie (Sussex made natural brie filled with truffle) and Brighton Blue (semi-soft mellow blue cheese). All delicious and perfect for a hint of decadence.

The Sussex Chutney is a cafe favourite with our regulars, made in Washington, West Sussex, by Loft Pickles which will pair perfectly with your choice of cheese and cheese biscuits.

The hampers also include well-loved homemade favourites from the cafe at The Old Workshop including: a choice of whole cakes (gluten free or vegan options available), flaky parmesan and cheddar cheese straws or spiced, roasted nuts with rosemary and Maldon salt, delicious small sausage rolls or mackerel pate and finally pistachio and ginger biscotti.

The full menu allows everyone to have a custom made and completely unique hamper; perfect for your taste.

The cafe at The Old Workshop is known for using sustainably based food and some food miles can be counted in yards as the quality of food is very important to us.

The hampers are perfect for birthdays, Valentine’s or simply just for a little celebration to start the year off right, treating yourself and your loved ones. Simply put, this past year has been a tough one and we all deserve to treat ourselves and the ones we’re with.

Your hamper is a stepping stone to a wonderful meal surrounded by those who mean the most whilst celebrating fantastic local food and business within West Sussex. The hamper can also be a great way to get to know the people who you live with – a delicious and wonderfully moreish conversation starter.

It’s always important to celebrate little wins but even more so at the moment so make sure you don’t miss out on the foodie’s dream – The Old Workshop Hampers!
